The Indra Koli Pass is on the Pakistan-China border, about 70km southeast of K-2 (Chogori), the second highest peak in the world.
Koli is a solid black bundle of fur and love who I enticed from his home in Holland (Thank you, Sharon!) It's seriously hard to believe a single cat could be so loving. I am typing this one-handed, as he is in my lap, purring and head butting me for more pets. I can't resist him!
Like Nono, Koli is also a polydactyl, with neat little thumbs on his front feet. (Click here to read more about polydactyl Maine coons.) Even though he has outgrown the appearance of kittenhood, Koli's loving and playful nature has not changed - no teaser is safe from his pounce, and while an interest in girls has overtaken his love of toys, he remains one of the most affectionate cats I have ever known.
Koli is extremely well-traveled. Following his initial trip to Texas from the Netherlands as a kitten, in October of 2009, Koli traveled with me to Germany and then to the Cats and Tulips show in Heinenoord, where he joined 30 polydactyl Maine coons to compete in New Traits. It is my sincere hope that the day will come when his poly trait will be accepted into championship, and Koli will be evaluated with his straight-footed family.
